Our Community

La Perouse Public School is nestled at the junction of our three micro-suburbs Little Bay, Philip Bay and La Perouse in Sydney’s South Eastern suburbs.

This section of our LPPS P&C community website celebrates the beautiful place in which our school is situated and the wonderful community surrounds in which we live and learn. It’s also a fun way for our school community to have a laugh together and learn more about the friends we go to school with and the team of teachers and support staff.

Fun Facts from
Our Community

Each season we’re sharing a new set of fun facts from members of our school community. It’s a playful way to learn about our teachers, support staff, families and members of our community.

Henry, Charlotte, Theo, Andreas & Rike

“We are so happy at our school. Our eldest has already made great friendships and he is so happy learning with his teachers and class mates. We are pleased with the opportunity our children have with activities that extend their learning and we look forward to our daughter starting in 2021.”

Our Fun Fact Is: We love to go on family camping trips. Rock climbing is especially a family hobby.

Raymond, Kobi, Jonas, Isabelle, Lila, Robbie & Tristan

“We love LaPa public school. Being former students of the school we wanted our children to have the same experience we did. The teachers and staff are first class and I love that as parents we are kept informed of all the great activities and programs the children learn at school. We love that LaPa primary is in our local community where we grew up and now live.”

Our Fun Fact Is: Our family loves camping fishing and diving! This is something we often do to bring our family back to nature and to appreciate the simple things in life.

Kobe, Elke, Megan & Kristian

“As Little Bay Locals, La Perouse Public was our first choice in schools. We wanted a close school in our community that our kids could eventually walk or ride to together with their friends. Now Kobe and Elke are in their 2nd year at the school and we love the school for much more than its close convenience. The teachers and staff are extremely passionate about what they do, and we love the extra curriculum programs offered here such as GotIt, Grow Your Mind (mindfulness program) coding and yoga.

With Gudjaga pre-school on the way, we also look forward to our children getting offered cultural education of our First Nations people.

I especially love the school community, the friendships that both the children and my husband and I have made through the school. We are a fun bunch and just as passionate about the school as the teachers :-)”

Our Fun Fact: We love the beach, camping and snowboarding.

LaPa Learning with our Teachers

We were so grateful and proud during our 2020 year, for our big hearted teachers who helped our students and families make it through with continuous home school support.
Our kids were so excited when they were able to return to school to see in person their teachers and classmates again.
Here’s some fun that helped our students continue to feel connected and supported. Our families love our YouTube Channel LaPa Learning.
